Automotive Systems Laboratory (ASL),
a division of Takata and a leader in the Safety Restraints Industry, is currently
seeking a Development Engineer for our Global Technical Center located in Armada,
MI near the intersection of 32 mile and the Van Dyke Expressway. The Armada facility
specializes in the testing and prototype builds of airbag inflators.

Requirements
|

Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, with Master's Degree preferred. 6-8 years of experience is required in a research and development role.

Minimum of 3 to 5 years automotive product applications experience with in an advanced development environment

Knowledge of FTA, DFMEA, DOE and GD&T

Duties
|

Formulates and presents to management aspects of research and development proposals such as objective or purpose of project, applications that can be utilized from findings, costs of project, and equipment and human resource requirements.

Submits proposals to determine if benefits derived and possible applications justify expenditures.

Is assigned specific projects for product or system design that the Company feels will take them into the next realm of product or system offerings to customers.
