Child Safety Isn't Child's Play
Child safety seats are the equivalent of seat belts for children. They must be developed as vital safety equipment, not a functional baby accessory. Takata was Japan’s first supplier of child safety seats, and our goal remains to not merely satisfy today’s safety standards, but to act on our commitment to safety by providing products that go beyond these standards. As always, we set our aims a step beyond those of anyone else. Our products will continue to set future safety milestones.
Previous child safety seats have provided protection mainly against frontal collisions. Our next-generation total safety systems address side-impact collisions as well. With a high rate of death on impact, this is the most dangerous type of crash. Takata has taken the global lead in initiating the basic research, from analyzing side impact crash data to conducting crash tests. We will conquer every barrier to meeting the new safety challenge we have set for ourselves.
