Takata first developed full harness racing seat belts in 1996, and since then
has supplied racing harnesses for multiple categories including Formula 1,
IndyCar, Formula NIPPON, the PWRC, the Dakar Rally, and GT racing.
Takata now goes beyond simply supplying racing seat belts to provide full safety
technical support for the SRS-F (Suzuka Racing School Formula), a program
that has paved the way for drivers competing in top-level formula categories
such as Formula 1 and IndyCar. Takata provides on-site support for future
racing stars, from correct fastening of racing harness to cockpit evacuation
methods in the event of a crash.
